Itinerary

Day 1Cusco - Pisac - Urubamba - Ollantaytambo - Chinchero

Embark on an exciting journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas as we fetch you from your hotel at 6:30 am using a tourist vehicle. Our full-day expedition commences with a visit to CHINCHERO, an ancient stronghold and marketplace where you can discover a diverse range of locally crafted artifacts offered at highly reasonable prices. Proceeding onwards, we will pause at MORAY, an archaeological site situated in close proximity to Cusco, Peru. Noteworthy for its circular terraces, this location rests at an elevation of 3500 meters above sea level.

Advancing further, we will arrive at the renowned SALINERAS, positioned northwest of the village. These well-known salt mines, alternatively referred to as “salt pans,” encompass approximately 3000 petite salt ponds with an average area of 5 square meters per unit. In periods of aridity, these reservoirs are filled with saline water derived from a natural spring positioned above the pits.

Following this, we will briefly halt in URUBAMBA to indulge in a delectable buffet lunch at a tourist-oriented restaurant. Subsequently, we will resume our expedition towards the town and archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo. Lastly, our ultimate destination will be PISAC, a culturally and historically significant town. Here, we will explore the local marketplace and the archaeological site. Our return journey will culminate in our arrival in Cusco at approximately 7:00 pm.
